I'm experiencing a crash/glitch on my Xbox 360/Xbox One. What can I do? Modified on: Mon, 2 Nov, 2015 at 10:09 AM If you're having issues with Terraria on your console, please try the following troubleshooting steps: Xbox 360 / Clear Cache 1. Press the Guide button on your controller, go to Settings, and select System Settings. Select 'Storage' or 'Memory'.
Highlight any storage device, and then press 'Y' on your controller. (It doesn't matter which storage device you select; the cache will be cleared for all storage devices.) 4. Select 'Clear System Cache'. When prompted to confirm storage device maintenance, select 'Yes'. Xbox One / Hard Restart 1. Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds.
The console will power down. Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the console or the Xbox button on your controller. Xbox One / Reset MAC Address Go to Settings Network Advanced Settings Alternate MAC address Clear MAC address NOTE: If you're still having issues with the game after trying the above troubleshooting method, please do the following: Xbox 360 / Re-Install 1. Press the Guide button 2.
Select Settings 3. Select System Settings 4. Select Storage 5. Select Hard Drive 6. Select Games and Apps 7.
And setting an alternate MAC address requires a restart so basically it is forgetting the MAC address I'm giving it together with the date and time. Edit: Turns out that factory reset fixed the issue of the xbox going back to Sept 1 2014 but it hasn't fixed the issue of not taking alternate MAC.
Press 'Y' on the title of the game, to delete it. Xbox One / Re-Install 1. Start from Home (press the Xbox button on your controller to go Home or say “Xbox, go home”). Go to My games and apps. Highlight the content that you want to uninstall under 'Games'. Press the Menu button on your controller.
Select Manage games. Find the game in the list and hit the Menu button. Select Uninstall. Please keep in mind that you should not lose any of your save data.
All other forums have been useless up to now, including the official xbox forum, i really need some help. 2 weeks ago while I was playing a game my xbox one wifi just stopped working for no reason, i've had the xbox since launch and had no problems with wifi until now. I use a BT Home Hub 4 as a router. Every other wifi capable console/phone/tablet can connect fine and i'm not getting the password wrong. When i had trouble, just get your ip adress and then type ip on interenet search and manually set a connection. Once in network or config should show ip under default gateway or ipv4 adress and whatever numbers might need like subnet mask. I only know how to do it on windows heres to find ip on windows or mac if you have trouble on provider site call a tech from provider and they will set best connection for speed and channel or reset and have a password for both 2.4 and 5.0 two different ssid some devices use 5.0. Then on any device should see name for connection example to how to do it with comcast xfinity and windows.

And you can look around in the xfinity site for what you need several options once logged in. I know your not wanting to change password but on provider sight can mess with your router stuff to manually change or connect settings. Click to expand.Should have started your own thread since this is a shit old thread and your problems diff. But, for easy sake, i'd say post a screen of this 'weird' xbox starting screen.
Your xbox one should absolutely not power off when using wifi, that makes zero sense unless there is somehow a short inside. Have you tried connecting to the net using a wired connection with an ethernet wire? Just see if the system goes online without issue that way. Is your xbox plugged directly into the wall or is it plugged into a powerstrip / surge protector?
